Mother's Day

My Mother's day was good, how was yours? I got breakfast in bed and some quality time with the kiddo and the hubby. I also got some time to CRAFT!

I was in a bit of a rush on Mother's Day so I didn't get to snap photos of the process. But I will say that I used this wonderful tutorial. It was really fun and pretty easy. Only difference is I sanded the surface of the tile square as well so as to make teeth for the glue to adhere to better and avoid lumpy paper buckling when applying the sealer.

So here's how they turned out!

The wonderful artwork in this next set in crayon medium would be that of my 21 month old (as of today)! She is a stinker!

All tied up and ready to go!

I didn't make any new cards, I actually recycled ones from last year that I never gave out (oops!). I wish I had time to make more. Anyway today is my mother -in-law's birthday so I am going to make her a brand new card. I'll post later. Ta-Ta for now!

My first post!

So it took me forever to come up with a blog name that 1. I didn't hate and 2. Wasn't already taken. I came up with Chrissy O'Crafty a play on my last name O'Connor but I think the Oh! is so much cuter, no? You (nobody right now) will let me know I am sure. I just needed to get things started. I have been itching to craft for WEEKS now and with Mother's Day coming up I actually have an excuse to step away from my busy life and craft.

We're remodeling our kitchen and I am currently 34 weeks pregnant. We have NOTHING really set up for newborn baby boy and Kendall, my sweet little girl, her crib was recalled in the latest Simplicity Recall so we're redoing her room from scratch as well. I don't want to buy stuff for their rooms so I am getting very anxious to start TOO many projects as usual. Ah but we shall see. Greg, my fiance bought me this sewing machine for Mother's Day. YAY! I am excited to start sewing but I will admit I have never used a sewing machine and although I can definitely use a needle and thread I can hardly say I have any type of sewing know how. It will be an experience I can't wait to share with the blogging world, one that I'm sure will be fun to follow.

Wish me luck on this venture. I have started many a blogs before and never kept up. I need followers, motivation, people. I need love. Hope we can inspire each other and have some fun crafting in the process. Until next time.
